Child Care Resource and Referral
Northeast Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) provides quality training to early care and education professionals, refers individuals to certified or licensed child care providers in a timely manner, and offers resources to enhance the quality of child care throughout our region. Services are made available to support families, child care professionals, communities, and employers regarding the issues and importance that children receive quality early care and education. The services Northeast CCR&R offers to families are: referrals to licensed child care centers and certified homes; recruit new certified providers and provide technical assistance concerning center licensure for our service area; information about quality child care; and information about child care payment assistance. CCR&R provides the following services to day care centers, certified homes and registered providers: technical assistance to set up a new center or home; required continuing education training hours; information on and referrals to professional development and scholarships; referrals for technical assistance for the STARS Quality Rating System; registered provider training; and access to an extensive resource library. Services available to community and employers are: consultations regarding employee child care issues; advantages and disadvantages of on-site day care facilities; current information on child care advocacy issues.
